Just picked from various spots around the house. There are thousands and thousands of them around the place. Sprinkle a little sugar on them and they’re fantastic. Might have to put some on a little ice cream later. One of the nicest things about our new house - edibles on the property. All spring long we were treated to fresh morels, now these.

Hope not, we’ve been eating them for a few weeks! The morels are the ones you have to watch out for in the spring. Eat a false morel and you’re dead. Get the real thing and you want more and more.

I’ve seen these and seen people picking them. I thought they were unripe blackberries, at least they look a lot like the blackberries we used to eat - before they ripened.
Now that I know they are edible, I’ll be on the lookout.
