I recently told my fiance that I had lost 9 lbs or so over the past month going from 170 to around 161. It wasn’t an intentional weight drop, just sort of happened with my intake and training. Well she is a dietician and was very concerned that I had lost so much weight and only weighed 161. Apparently, I am very close to being unheatlhy.
I’m curious what other guys near my height (6’1) weigh. Clearly, we all have different bodies, we train differently and need unique nutrition to our own body. But how much do you guys weigh?
I’m 165, and I have broad shoulders. 161 is completely reasonable for anyone with a medium frame or smaller as best as someone can guesstimate on an internet forum with no more information than height and weight. My wife is a nutritionist/physiologist and she mostly just complains about my love of chocolate cake.
6’ 1 and 155lbs. I usually fluctuate between 155-165 but have been in the 150-155 range the past few months (training more and watching nutrition more than ever). Ask your fiance if I’m going to die.
6’1 and 146 right now. Race season, I was at 140 at my lowest. I’ve raced at 138, but start to lose power get sick under 140. But, keep in mind I am a roadie.
6’0" and 175 lbs today. Was around 170 lbs during race season. For comparison purposes, regularly was 195 to 200 lbs 20+ years ago in college as a Division 1 Hockey Player with single digit body fat numbers.
I figured out a couple of years ago when people tell me I am looking too skinny … I am getting close to proper “racing weight.”
She is right, that is a bit much in one month but normal over the three months of race season.
My off season weight is 176 and race weight about 168 for 6 feet.
6’1" 180. It’s all relative, do what feels good for YOU. I feel like crap and get run down and catch every cold in town when I get down to 170ish. Run feels so much better with 10 less pounds, but I’m dipping into reserves where at 180 I’m the healthiest person anyone knows! Hence I don’t let myself get too low, but ultras are history for me so it’s not so hard to keep a little extra on me bones.
