On a Sunday ride with my daughter, along the Lafayette bike trail…barely 4 weeks old.
I’ve got poison oak over half my body from chasing this little critter down. It’s worth every scratch. We’re thinking of calling him Velo.

Cute! And I don’t like cats (officially )
That looks like a Ragdoll breed. We have one, Dash, just over a year old. They are the best cats around… super sweet natured.
That is a very cute Birman - congratulations!
Velo - perfect.
Oh my God. That is a fine cat. Awesome.
Good name and good on you!
Very cute! I’d call him “Cmere you little !#@$!!!”
Or Aloe Vera.

That is funny. When I initially read your post, I thought “this person doesn’t know what they are talking about. That is a Ragdoll if I have ever seen one.” So I looked up the Birman and I really can’t tell the diffrence between the two in pictures.
Either way, beautiful kitten!
Simply adorable. More photos please
We have a Birman who looked very much like Velo ten years ago !
BTW - we have heard so many good things about the Ragdoll that we hope that one of those guys chooses us to live together with soon
Velo was probably trying to catch these little buggers I saw on my trail run last week…
I found my cat when I was on a run! he was about that size too.
Named him spiderman and I was never a cat guy before I found him.
Cute . . . but why bother with a name? Cats never come when they’re called anyway . . .
“Cats never come when they’re called anyway . . .”
Nope - most def not true !

You obviously don’t give your cat leftover fish from dinner.
edit: Damnit, now I want a cat, but I couldn’t be more allergic.

I figgered you’d like this post.
We posted signs in the area where we found him and crossed our fingers for a week that no one would call.

Sure you could. You could swell up like a balloon by looking at a picture of a cat… ;-)~

I thought Ragdolls had white paws. Face not flat enough to be a Himalayan. I don’t see enough Burmans to know for sure.
So I’ll sound like a snotty know-it-all veterinarian BUT: This kitten can LOOK like a purebred but could VERY easily be a mixed-- phenotype vs genotype. It could be a Domestic Medium Hair (DMH) (= mixed breed) with genes for dark points and blue eyes.
NONETHELESS I bet he will be a very nice kitty and lucky to have a home rather than be road-kill.
I found a tiny tabby/white DSH kitten on Avery Drive in Tulsa and found him a home. Called him Avery. He is SUPER lucky to not have been squished. He was at a busy intersection, perhaps just dumped minutes prior to my finding him!
Not all… the “mitted” variety has white paws. We have a mitted seal point for example.
Ah. Thanks for info!
