The latest crossover - I go by ‘mccheez’ on tri-newbies… trying to get over my ‘newbie’ status this year - started last year - did 6 sprints last year… come from a running background. Live in the 'burbs of Philly. Training to peak at the Tupper Lake 1/2 IM June 26th, also doing the Columbia Oly on 5/23 as a tune-up… yes, my 1st bike was a tri-bike! - bought a Trek Hilo last March. I’ve been working on upping my bike mileage… rode 80 miles last week, ran 25, and swam 8500 yards - to give you some idea of the level of training I do. My training goals are to avg 100 mpw on the bike, 30 mpw running, and 8000 yards per week swimming for the 3 months building to my 1/2 IM. I run okay (ran a 1:27 half marathon and a 65:36 10-miler last year), but need some work on the bike and swim. I swim a mile in the pool in about 30 mins… by the end of the season, I was averaging about 22 mph in sprints on the bike. Obviously need to concentrate more on my bike training and have added much mileage on it over what I was doing last year.
