i was commentating for the Coca Cola triathlon series championship race today and we thought it was just going to be another easy win day for John Reback and Lotte Branigan but then 10:00 before the gun goes off Andrey Yatrebov (IM Moo champ), Victor Zymstev (IMCDA champ) and Tamara Kozulina (3x IM Austria champ) show up and what a fricking race it turned out to be. i was in tthe TV car and watched Andrey break away in the last 4k from Reback, Rob Skaggs and a few others. then Tamara and Lotte battled on the bike and Lotte was forced to “redline” it. in the end the two Ukraines won. Tamara is doing Kona ( I know if I was coaching her she wouldn’t be racing a sprint the week before). the race will be aired on Sun Sports in SE US in 2 weeks. Great race and you have to watch it.
