You can currently get an Xterra Vivid fullsuit for $109 before shipping. I couldn’t find any information online about this particular suit. Does anyone know if this is a decent deal or is the suit trash? Leaning towards picking it up for my first wetsuit instead of spending a similar amount on a used one but dont want to make a bad purchase. Any ideas?
I would run away, as they are not known for durability and quality. I good used one that FITS WELL would be my choice.

Xterra’s perma-sale marketing irks a lot of us, but the customer service is very good and the suits seem solid for the (reduced) price point. I think they have a bad rap because of their ubiquity and the dishonest marketing, less because there are issues with the suits.
Had an xterra suit once – didn’t have any issues with quality that some people raise, don’t think they’re a terrible choice for someone who may not want to commit to a more expensive suit (this isn’t to say that they’re the best, and if I was looking at more expensive suits I’d look elsewhere, so a decent used suit is a fine route provided you know how suits fit and can get the right size).
The price on the fuse looks really good, but do note that it’s spec’d at at 3mm torso/legs, 2mm back… so will not give you the buoyancy of many other suits that have 5mm in legs/elsewhere.
Neoprene degrades significantly with time, I’d stay away from an older used suit unless it was a screaming deal.
