Anyone out there using the xlab mini bag? I’ve got the carbon wing And up to now had just been wedging a tube and tire lever into it but would like to “neaten” things up a bit. Thinking the Mini may by the answer but not sure. On the xlab site they show it tucking into the “luggage compartment” but looking at mine it seems VERY tight, especially with the bolts from the bottle cages protruding into the compartment. Thoughts? Pictures of your set ups? Thanks
i use the mini bag to hold my phone and wallet on long rides. I use the tire bag for co2 and tires.
I use one on the back of my ISM Race and it works perfect. Has room for 1 tube, 2 co2, and one lever. Tiny little kit but works perfect and is very hidden!!

I use the xlab mini bag, but without a “wing system.” I have a turbo wing, but haven’t set it up. For now, I just use the mini bag strapped underneath my seat. I like this one the most. Very simple and streamlined under the saddle. I carry in it one tube, glueless patch kit, one 16oz. CO2 cartridge, two tire levers and a mini tool kit. It’s tight, and I’ve recently resorted to leaving the mini tool kit out. All I really need is a spare tube, tire levers and the CO2 cartridge.
I’m realizing less is more. I do a once over on the bike every week so I don’t have to carry a ton of tools in a larger seat bag. The bare minimum is what I carry now and stay as far away from the right side of the road where all the flat inducing debris is located.
Hi,
Below is a photograph of the inside of a Carbon Wing with Gorilla cage bolts. Although they come into the area it won’t affect the bag. The Mini Bag is made of durable material so it won’t tear on the screws.
Is this what your carbon wing looks like or do you have longer screws?
That’s what mine looks like too - by the way, where do you get the vertical mount for your CO2? Is there also a place to put the valve on that mount? I like that much better than the one I use -

Ok your bag will be fine. If there are any problems please contact me. The vertical mount for the CO2s is our new X-Strike. This holder will only hold CO2s (it can hold up to 4 of them). You would have to put the inflator in your bag.
I can get 2 tubes, 2 tyre levers, 2 CO2, an air chuck and a multi tool in there, but it’s a very tight squeeze.

My bag has holes that match exactly with the screws of my Gorilla cage bolts. I’ve had the system <90 days. I wonder if I’ve done something wrong, of if the bags are prone to tearing?
Hi Slorey,
Have not heard about our bags tearing before and we have had them for a few years now. Why don’t you send an email to our warranty department (info@xlab-usa.com) and we can help you out. Damon will be the one receiving your email. If you could send a picture with the email that would help as well.

You got all of that inside the bag and had room enough to zip it closed? Wow - hat’s off to you!
I could only squeeze one tube (700x23, completely deflated), two levers, one Co2 cartridge, air chuck and one Park glueless patch kit). I still have room for a small Nashbar multi tool (allen wrenches, one slotted and one philips screwdrivers), but, it’s way too tight, so, left it out.

Where can ibget the X-strike?
PM me your city/zip code and I can try and find the closest dealer to you that should have some in stock.
Will the regular sonic wing work on a Cervelo P2? As previously posted, I am looking for more space between the cages to stuff a bag in…was not sure if you could mount the non-cervelo model on a P2? Does it just mount on the seat rails?
Candice - any idea where I can get the short screws that it look like you have on your top bolts? Also, other than a plier or small wrench, what do you use to hold the internal bolts steady while tightening the bottle cages down. I got myself a mini bag to try out, looking forward to it!

The sonic wing is the Cervelo specific hydration system carrier so yes it would work on the P2. If you are looking for more space to stuff a bag in, then you would use the Super Wing (alloy) or the Carbon Wing.
Both the Carbon and Super Wings mount to the saddles rails. They will fit most saddles. If you have a carbon rail saddle then you would need different hardware in order to mount on these. If you have a SMP saddle then you can use the Super Wing SMP model. If neither of the above it will work
The top screws are actually the same length as the bottom screws. This particular carbon wing has a strap installed which is making it look shorter. If you wanted to make the bottom screws shorter you could add a washer between the cage and the carrier.
For tools we recommend using torque wrench set and an Allen Wrench.

Gotcha, I just took off my strap as I found it was too long to really do anything with. What do you use the strap for?
The strap is used to hold down the mini bag securely
