WTB: ZIPP 404 Tubular AND Zipp 808 or 1080 Tubular

ok, so I’m looking to buy some race wheels.
I need some for my cross bike and want to get some 404’s.
I also need some for my tri bike and want some 808’s/1080’s.
based on usezipp.com, I’d like to spend no more than $900 for the set of 404’s and no more than $1100 for the 808’s/1080’s.
i think the pricing is fair, so let me know what ya got!

Hi,

You sent me a PM, but I could not reply. Maybe because I recently registered for this forum (I guess all those lurking hours don’t count).

Anyway, I have a set of Zipp 606 (404 front, 808 rear) carbon tubulars with Vittoria EXO Corsa CX tires glued on. The rear has about 50% or less wear, and the front has maybe 25% wear. There is about 1,800 miles on the wheels (3,000 km). IU’m looking for $900 (shipping extra) for the set.

The braketrack looks excellent, if you send me an e-mail I will reply with more detailed pictures. The wheels are still on their first set of brake pads (which are just about worn out).

There is no damage I can see on either wheel. With the exception of some bite marks on the splines from the cassette (Shimano). Obviously these are totally hidden once the cassette is mounted. Also, it has been about 1000 miles since the freehub was last maintained, so it is probably due.

Wow! That’s a hard deal to beat! I know we’re both giving a sales pitch to the same guy… But I wish this deal was available when I purchased my 606 set.
