Wrong answers only! What will Ironman announce on Dec. 1?

You’ve seen the images in your social media feeds. Images of various iconic Ironman venues (Madison and Boulder for example) amid pics of celebrating competitors and the caption that something big is going to be announced Dec.1.

What is it? Or even better, what should it be?

My own guess is that Ironman might bring back the three-city three-year rotation of full IM races (Coeur d’Alene, Boulder and St. George)

All new Ironman race in New Mexico on August 1st. Temp will be 115 F.

The IM world championships are being moved to the T100 Dubai course. Don’t worry though, there will be a board showing everyone’s remaining laps.

Ironman is headed back to Juneau for a one-day mixed gender WC race. “The 1,000 best athletes battle it out in The Last Frontier,” and a secondary marketing campaign targeting slot allocation, “The odds are good, but the goods are odd.” IYKYK
