IT is not Hustler magazine, most on that site are less revealing than the much younger girls I’m watching swimming in the world championships right now, on national TV. The way I see it you have a couple choices, one to just vote for her because she is a friend. Or you can withhold your vote, because you dont think she deserves it in the context of the contest, that’s you being honest. But pretending that it is some creep show and you just want distance, I think that is a little over the top when talking about full fledged adults here, pursuing some artistic path. Its not porn, its modeling…She doesnt have a problem, and apparently here family doesnt either, so good for them to support their daughter…
I will do everything in my power to steer my daughter away from this type of work, but if she were 26 and set her mind in a way I was never going to change it, I would support her too…

Perhaps the mom doesn’t look at it with the same “creepiness factor” that you do. Perhaps to the mom, she is proud of her beautiful daughter and merely sees the photos as showing off her daughter’s beauty. Perhaps the creepiness of it doesn’t register with her in the slightest.
If that’s the case, I can understand missing the perspective you mention. I think it’s incredibly unobservant, but I could at least understand it.

Here is the other factor - I have a daughter a little older than this. I see guys my age leering over her and, being the protective papa, I want to kill them. That’s my little girl, even though she is a 30 year old adult. Having that feeling about my own kid, it makes me feel “icky” to view a friend’s daughter in any way remotely sexual.
But, as I mentioned before, these pics are supposed to be sexual. They are intended to be titillating. So, I actually feel guilty looking at them and having the reaction that she is sexy and I should vote for her based on her sexuality.

I have a female friend on Facebook who is about my age (48). She has a daughter who is, I believe, 25-26. Her daughter is in a contest for Inked Magazine to be a cover-girl. Inked Magazine is a tattoo magazine that features scantily-clad tattooed women.
My friend posted a link to the contest on her Facebook page. She mentioned that her daughter has “worked really hard” to get here and really wants to win. So, she wants all her friends to vote for her daughter. The link takes you go the contest photo-shoot, which is in a graveyard. A couple pictures show her in a crop top and skin-tight jeans. But, most are in sexy underwear … posing in the graveyard. Her daughter is not unattractive, but, is a “thicker” girl. A couple pictures have her bending over in a thong, which, honestly, isn’t the best look. One picture is full nude, peaking out from behind a gravestone.
Now, would I want my daughter to pose in her underwear? No, but, I wouldn’t lose my mind over it. She is an adult. But, I just cannot see coming on ST and linking those pictures for all of you sleeze-dogs to oggle over. Likewise, if my daughter was a Victoria’s Secret model, I would be very proud of her, but, would not post her underwear pictures here to draw attention to them.
I find the entire thing very odd. Wifie says the same. It seems like pimping out your daughter. Also, what is the appropriate response to my friend? Am I out of line telling her her daughter has a nice rack?
