Looking for anyone who has experience with the Woodway treadmills. I know they’re expensive but are they worth the price? What’s your experience with maintenance and upkeep and such. Looking into it. Want a quality treadmill that will last a long time.
Buy it !!!
I had a good Nordic track until the motor went .
I got a used woodway , clients and athlete love it , I like it a lot.
FYI I did Need an electrician for a special outlet
Worth it brand new at full price, I don’t think so. After looking for a couple of years I found a barely used 4Front for a smoking deal so I pulled the trigger. The treadmill is a tank and is amazing to run on. A couple of things to note. If you are used to running on regular treadmills a lot the Woodway is a much firmer surface since the slatted surface doesn’t flex like a regular belt treadmill. Also, Woodway recommends a dedicated 20amp outlet. You definitely want it on a 20amp outlet but mine is not dedicated and I’ve never had any issues.
I had one for a while and ended up selling it and going back to traditional treadmill. It was too harsh for me.
I know many people love it, and it may work for you.
My recommendation is find a gym that has a Woodway and put miles on it. Its an expensive mistake to make if it doesn’t work for you.
Bought a used 4Front from a liquidator of a failed gym. I had a good medium priced treadmill before this (a Landice belt treadmill). The Woodway is so much better. No strain, unusual feelings, etc. When I use a hotel or fitness club treadmill for a couple days in a row, I start having issues. Woodways are not cheap, but they are exceptionally well made and a high performance product.
Honestly… You want the new Wahoo Kickr Run…
I bought one used after a running studio closed in 2020. Absolutely love the 4Front. It has been the best investment for my running that I have made. I would not hesitate to do it again.
Personally, I’d save a couple grand off the used Woodway and go new with the Wahoo Run or Peloton Tread+. I ultimately went with the Tread+ and love it. Built like a tank and I actually really like and prefer the slatted treadmill design over the cheaper belt type treadmills. We already have a peloton membership so it didn’t cost us anymore to add and since I don’t really use any of the classes (my wife does), it wasn’t a factor for me.
