Inspired by another thread here I found a used Woodway Path in great shape
Looks like the path is a shorter version of the 4front
Does anyone have any experience with it? can it be used like a normal treadmill for full blown running or is it only good for walking?
I was about to buy one, the actual deck is the same running surface length of nearly any treadmill. It just looks shorter because there is no housing up front. You can definately run on it no problem.
This could be the case, but the path running surface is 16†shorter than the 4front running surface.
I am also looking to pull the trigger on a path for our new home gym…but sure would like to see some more user reviews about the running area length, etc…

I hope we are not looking at the same one…
You’re all good there…we are not ready yet, building new house and won’t be ready for it until the end of the year. Our gym is going to help us buy it actually(through their account), as they have woodways throughout.
I actually just found another forum member who is 6’6, who has no issues running on a Path…so I’m all in. It will work for us, and save some space in the gym…

cool, thanks. If I end up getting it i’ll post an update so you have another data point.

I have a 4 Front now and I can tell you that there is a 2 foot fore and aft zone where I could choose to run, but I always run in the same area. I had an old belt treadmill and the Path was only 2" shorter than the running surface on that. Unless you are really sloppy about where you run I dont see it as a big deal. In talking to Woodway there are no issues running on the path, its just a space saver.
Yes, got a great deal on almost new path
At first it feels weird that it is so short, but when you run on it there’s absolutely no problem.
I guess your have less room to ease back, but I honestly can’t say it was ever an issue for me.
Thanks. I debated a refurbished 4Front/Desmo vs. a new Path in spring 2020. Thanks to Covid, I couldn’t find a Path to test before purchasing. I went with the refurb because I thought the Path might be too short. The refurb 4Front is excellent, of course, but barely fits in my space. I’ve wondered what that room would be like with less of a hulk in the middle.
