Ok, i get pretty obsessive about training, and usually bump up my mileage too fast and get injured. I cant get a coach because i have no money. Im currently training for a 1/2 in 3 weeks. I got a series of running related injuries, and now that i am coming back from those, so ive kept my running mileage rather small so i can at least show up to the 1/2 (already paid for hotel and flight, not backin out now). Right now my long runs are 10 miles, long bike is 85-100 miles (depending on conditions and time), and swims are 4000 meters. After all of these, I am not exhausted to the point of collapse, i feel good and tired, but not too much. What can i expect in the race with training these sort of distances. the 2k swim and the 56 mi bike are distances i do without much effort or exertion (i swim 4k 3-4 times a week, bike 56 miles 2-3 times a week), and after my runs, i feel i could go much further, but i dont want to risk injury (i just had my first run without pain last week). Im thinking ill feel good during the race, though the last part of the run could really suck.
You actually may not be in such bad shape. With a nice long bike and a decent run distance it sounds like you are going to have plenty of endurance for the day. Be careful with your pacing on the bike and run and you should be able to turn in a respectable time and still enjoy yourself.
It sounds like you are going to have 2 problems: 1. it will be tough to not overdo it before the race and show up injured. 2. you may be tempted to go out too hard on the bike
Take your extra time now and work on things you may otherwise neglect, like practicing transitions and stretching.
