I bought some cheap wireless headphones a few months back. They worked great and I fell in love with them. I had never purchased any before because I do not take care of stuff ( I lose/break small stuff like nice sunglasses and headphones) and didn’t want to spend much money on something I was likely to destroy.
Like I said they worked great until I left them in a pocket and they went through the wash/dryer. Now, they are dead. They were not ‘waterproof’ like Jaybirds and other, nicer equipment. I’m wondering, are there any wireless/BT headphones that can survive such a thing? I’m wondering if the more rugged options can compensate for my future stupid decisions.
The internal temp of a dryer is often about 135F. I’m not sure you’ll find any battery/wireless setups that would survive any significant amount of time in there.
jaybirds wont survive a wash cycle either I just replaced mine my for my stupid mistake with another set of jaybirds. love them.
Jaybirds also won’t survive being run over by a car on a gravel road. Learned that the hardway after they fell off from around my neck. I forgot I had them there and by the time I realized it and went back it was too late. I ended up replacing them with a pair of Plattronics Backbeat Fit and actually like them a little better for cycling.
I don’t think any will survive a washer and dryer. However you can get decent ones for a very good price these days. I have had very good luck with soundpeats ( http://amzn.to/1ID3z8o ) . They are cheap and been working for close to a year and I put them through some serious sweat fest. You can get them for $20 with coupon QY7BL713
