Windscreen or not, that is the?

can you tell I am tapering hahah, I have a Rudy project syton aero helmet, now I have the clear windsreen which I think is useless cause you have to wear shades anyways. BUT the LG tinted one fits it. Soooooo should I ditch the shades and go with the tinted screen or does it really make a difference. Anybody ever do a long race with the screen, does it block to much air , do you sweat in your eyes. I have not worn it in a long training ride, afraid i will get a beer thrown at me, see related post lol I have worn it in a half Im without the screen, very sweet helmet BTW.

gurudude…I bought a tinted LG “windscreen” for my Rocket helmet a few months ago and wore it in a recent IM. I bought it because my glasses kept slipping down my nose with my head in it’s ideal aero position (pointing down, with eyes rolled up looking forward). This fixed the problem no end. Its been said that helmets fitted with this visor test slower in the windtunnel…how much slower I don’t know (likely very very marginal) and whatever time loss incurred I consider to have made up by not having to break my aero tuck to re-adjust my glasses every few minutes. Now this particular IM was wet & windy so sweat wasn’t an issue and as you could imagine I appreciated it “blocking air” as you put it. That said, I think folks overplay the “heat” issue though…I’ve worn the helmet sans visor for hotter races and its no big deal (IMHO), I don’t notice any difference between it and my standard vented road helmet. I wouldn’t go back to wearing glasses on the bike if you paid me…the visor is just so damn convenient.

I started the following thread before purchasing…a few more opinions to confuse you further

I also like the visor. I haven’t done any IM’s with it but I don’t like wearing glasses while riding either. I think it is mostly personal preference though.
