Willier supersónica SLR

Hello All,
Im new in this forum… need help about this topic.

My friend recenctly just recieved this bike

This week he made bike fitting but he found many problems in terms of cockpit adjustment…specially he need to go forward 9cm…. But with this aerobars ASC PRO theres nothing info beacause are new……
So could you help us with this???
What do you think about this bike, aerobars and adjustment…

And last thing at the same time I ordered new one in M size… it will arrive In 2 months and I dont know of cancell mine…

That looks like it has profile design a3 risers up front?

If so, this extender will work.

But it might be further than he wants?

Yes I checked this… but he need 9cm.
So there is another gadgets to help with?
More over…. In terms of future changes I think is very limited the cockpit…
So I have doubts

Be should have some room in the bar extensions himself though right? Just use different holes to attach the bars further back?

Theres only opción to go up ( diferentts rise Spacers) but not posibility to go forward…

9cm (90mm) seems like it’s a frame size issue.

Is the highest size…

This is a typical case of spending money the wrong way………next time fit first and buy later.
No way you are going to get 90 mm forward reach without having impact on how it rides.
Next time spend $ 400 for a good bike fit before you spend 20K on a bike……

That said, you might could enough reach using this thing up to 137 mm

Edit: the reach extender from Profile Design that cyclenutz is talking about is giving you 30 mm of extra reach and that thing is rock solid. I built a few bikes with them and they are very very good, but if you really need 60 mm more you really, well, your friend bought the wrong bike and if i were you i would cancel yours. And get a fit first!

As Tripro said - your friend has done this in the wrong order with the result that he bought the wrong bike.

The L Supersonica is still quite small - roughly a 56 in other brands as it is designed for UCI positions, not triathlon.

The only option that might be viable is to use the Wilier custom extensions service as Wilier will be able to say whether it is safe to extend that far forward.

But other than that - no basebar I know of is safety tested to stretch out by 90mm - it is very risky to use products like the FastTT extender. The PD reach extender is tested as part of the system so is safe, but the same cannot be said for any aftermarket parts.

How tall is your friend? And did you find a solution?
