I am trying to determine if the cx70 top pull 10 speed front derailleur will work with the new Shimano 105 5800 11 speed shifters. Alternatively, I would love to see them release an 11 speed specific top pull front derailleur for the CX bike. I have not had any luck finding answers via google, so I thought I would ask the brain trust here. I know that the 11 speed shifters changed the cable pull ratio for the rear derailleur, but did anything change for the front that would impair the function of the 10 speed cx70?
Is the CX-70 braze-on, clamp, or braze-on with a clamp adapter?

I think the cable pull ratio also changed for the front derailleur. While not exactly apples to apples, and the following might be due to the lack of a ‘high’ trim position with 7900 shifters, I was not really able to get a DA 9000 front derailleur to work ‘rub free’ with 7900 shifters on our cross bikes. Sure if shifted from small to big ring easier than the FD-7900 derailleur but there was chain rub on the derailleur cage in the 2-3 smallest rear cogs (Ultegra CS-6700 13-28 cassettes). When we still had CX frames with top mounted cables, I tried the CX-70 with 7900 shifters, and despite new Shimano or Jagwire cables/housings, lever throw always seemed stiffer than with the pulley/7900 front derailleur. For me the stiff shifts were noticeable but not enough to cause issues shifting but my wife, having a smaller hands, could not shift into the big ring while riding due as she could not put enough force into the levers when shifting. Finally, keep in mind that the cage of the CX-70 is 10-speed specific meaning it is going to be a tad bit narrower than 9000/6800/5800 front derailleurs such that with 7900 shifters, I really had to pay close attention to adjust it to work well through out the gear range in both small and large chainrings.
Probably doesn’t as I was thinking in terms of braze on front derailleurs which for 11-speed, Shimano added the support bolt for the braze on derailleurs.
If I am reading that right, you had poor performance with the cx-70 top pull even with the 10 speed (7900) shifters, not just with 11 speed? Does that mean that the top pull design is just not where it needs to be yet? Or was it something specific to that combination?
