ok, flame away…
this was my first wildflower and I had an absolute blast down there, but I have no reference point from years past.

Nice report and photos. Thank you for sharing. Not much compares to having a great race.
Nice teeth !
I like how you have a Javelin outfit yet you ride a Cervelo…
Nice report, cool pics, and good running. Great job on sticking with your race plan too…sometimes that hard to do, especially when people are going by you. I always have a hard time not going after them on the bike…and then paying for it on the run

Nicely done.

front and rear tubulars don’t match. big no no!
Nice report. I was in your age group and finished the swim in 30:33. I was following a pair of feet and I could feel from the periodic tapping that someone was following mine up until the last corner and then both drafts were lost. So maybe we passed like ships in the night. Did you recognize a big hole in the bottom of my right foot? Ha ha! See you next year!
To the “other Lance”!
Thanks for sharing your WF report.
You really stepped up bro!- Tactically smooth race plan.,listened to your coach, kept it all in check.

I love the Team Javelin uni’s. You fill it out a lot less than I do, but man do they look great!

Francios,
I blew my front tubular three days before the race and only had time to replace one. I will match them up eventually.
Ze Gopha,
Yeah, I know the red hat did not match the outfit, but OOMPH! is a local company from Vancouver, WA and I know the owners personally. He gives me somegear from time to time and I like to support him. He didn’t have a black visor, so I threw fashion sense to the wind and wore the red one.
I hope thats what you were referring to, or was it the fact that I forgot to bring post race clothes to transition and had to wear my sweats and go shirtless after the race.
Actually the red hat was the least of my worries. (It matches your shoes and bike.)
It was more the whole orange Javelin written on every part of your body as you rode a red rocket P2K.
Um… forgetting clothes to change into is also a no no, but hey everybodies done it (I’m just not going to tell a story about it.)
The only other thing would be the flat kit strapped to the aero seatpost. Major pet peeve of mine.
One free tid-bit, I always try and match my sunglasses to my outfit, if you are ever in the market for a new pair, maybe try red or black. What color helmet do you use?
Nice work out there and great report.
