Wiggin's TT Helmet?

After watching the Giro TT, I’ve been trying to figure out what helmet Wiggins and team SKY were wearing. Not only did it look bad ass but it seems to me the next generation in helmet design. It seems like the movement is away from the long tapered tail and this more rounded version looked slick. Any thoughts on what helmet that was would be greatly appreciated.

This thread is worthless without pictures.

I think is an older helmet, similar to what the British track team has been using for years. You can search for pics of Chris Hoy wearing this helmet. It seems to be a Kask helmet (Italian brand?) with some aero earflaps added to them.

I wonder how the cheap skate style helmets with a little packing tape would test out. Look like a very similar profile.

Casco is a helmet brand that has a helmet along those lines.

Yes, I believe Cas Co is the helmet used by Hoy and others on the track. The Kask that SKY is using has a different appearance from the side. Slightly tapered and unique rear to the shape.

Just found a better look at it from the side from their facebook page. Me Likey.

That is why I said “along those lines.”
.

Looks very practical though – the short tail means that when you move your head around while riding, you don’t suffer the aero penalty from a longer tail sticking out.

Something similar?

Yeah…you just suffer the aero penalty all of the other times
.

no air vents either
.

They do have vents; some small slit-looking ones. They’re hard to see on the black helmets, but easy on the white version:
