I saw this outside a convenience store the other day down in Key West and had to grab a shot. $500 aero bar on a tiny cross bike. I love it. Anyone on here?
Also, you should lock your bike instead of just draping the lock over the bars. Key West isn’t the small town it used to be.

LOL That’s what I thought too but he looked way, way too big for it…and seemed completely uninterested in my checking it out. I think it was like a 50 cm.
Does that saddle have half the saddle missing?
I also like the positive saddle to bar ‘drop’.
Stuff like this makes me happy and confused all at the same time. I wonder if he has a ‘race bike’ that he swaps the cockpit over to for racing and uses this because of all the gravel/shell roads down there.

I had a good buzz on when I saw it so perhaps it seemed cooler to me then but sheesh, there is some intention there to do something weird. I guess one could do just about any kind of riding with the setup as is…do everything ok, nothing well kind of thing. Or swap wheels and/or bars and do anything period. Cantis aren’t aero though.
As an aside, I’m glad I didn’t bring my bike down. The riding just plain sucks down there…saw multiple folks cranking it out on RT 1 and just felt afraid and sad for them. Basically its entirely flat and this past week it was particularly windy and cool. Lots of redneck, asshat drivers many of whom I think drive drunk as daily thing. Just scary. I had a fat slob, wannabe hell’s angel dust me with his mirror on one of the bridges while running. At least I could see him coming…if I was biking I’d probably have gotten hit and sent over the side into 2’ of water.
I ran and swam a lot down there. FKCC has a great heated outdoor lap pool that visitors can use for $5 and I also found some OWS options if anyone is looking.
I did pick them up when they were on Bonktown. But the joke’s on me because this guy didn’t take a hacksaw to his in order to make them fit on his bike!
