Who's racing at St. Anthony's?

I’m participating again, 4th year in a row. Has for the disk or not question, use the DISK! Hope to see ya all there look for me in the 35-39M wave.

Good luck all

Paul

I’m there, in the (old bastards) 55+ wave, just in front of all the women, which will be great on the bike and run as I’ll be surrounded by all you little chickies flying by me  Woooww, have mercy!!

Cheers

Barry

"I am racing head to head gainst BriBri at S.A.T. to try to redeem myself against the Gaal’s after the AZ race where I suffered a wopping defeat… "

Now you’ve done it KJGrog. BriBri brought in a doll with a bunch of needles stuck in it. The doll is not pretty, but it sort of looks like you. You don’t have trouble going to the bathroom, do you? The crotch area appears to have received much of her attention.

I sit two cubicles away from her, so I know these things. She’s on fire these days. I believe she’s going to ROCK at this race.

I’ll be there as well. Lord knows I’ll need heavy-duty counseling for a long time after the women blow by me on the bike ride.

Definitely wouldn’t say I’m on fire…more like a flickering flame. I’m racing and just hoping to get in the top ten in my age group. I think Kevin will redeem himself against the Gaal’s this time

Yeah right. You wouldn’t fall out of the top-3 even if you tried.

And I can tell you’ve got Kevin by the ballz…

Hey C’mon now B’feeder…you are playing both sides…you were just telling me I had Bribri right where i wanted her heading into this weekends showdown at SAT…

As you know John, I have a “one win” winning streak heading into the weekend…do you think I can take down Craig Walton and BriBri or whoever gets in my way for the OA title?

Talkin’ smack… Mistake buddy… It’s gonna hurt to be you this week.

The only way out of this mess is to wear Kimbo’s bikinis, paint your toe nails (purple works for me), and start in BriBri’s wave. But you knew that already…

i’ll defenitely be there for that swim on saturday morning. just as a suggestion for something to do and maybe to get your mind off the race to keep the nerves settled, the red sox are playing sat. night (6:15) against the devil rays. hopefully hot dogs and beer are good pre-race foods!?!? i know i ate worse things before big xc meets in college.

anyone else in the 20-24 age group??

I’m in the 25-29 age group so we have the same swim start time.

Wish I could be there with all you. THat is my all time favorite race.

I did it once back in the day when I was still learning the ropes of the sport. 99 I think. 18th overall? maybe something like that? cant remember.

Good luck to all!!!

You fast guys just try not to get smoked too bad by 16 yr old stephen godlove
.

Stephen is racing for sure? I know he is on the start list but that is from December. He was suppose to race Red Hills in Tallahasee but didn’t show to that and he had told me that was gonna be his first race this year. I haven’t seen him out here lately in Clermont…

Fast guy huh? Not anymore.

I’ll look for his name. Stephen Godlove, got it. After he’s done with HS, send him my way here in Boulder so he doesnt go down the USAT training center path that all the good men in this county seem to do. I’ll turn him into a WC!

The year I did it Brian Fleishman (sp) won the ag race. He was AMAZING! Poor guy got trapped in the USAT garbage training plan and has not, in my opinion, reached his full potential. I think he ran high 33’s that year and was like 18 years old. Sub 34 in a non drafting race is FLYING! Why cant he run faster than that in a drafting race after years of training? … thats a whole rant I dont want to get in to.

I remember heading out on the run and he was on his way back. WOW. I ran like 37 something and he made me look like I was walking.

Swim Wave start times! Good luck all.

KJGrog, I don’t know why stephen didn’t do redhills. I was expecting to see him there as well. He never registered for it though. I guess St. A’s will be his first race this year. Hey, I just want to finish in the top 50 of the 35- 39 group so I only expect to see Stephen at the start and at the awards ceremony. I met him at Redhills last year and had no idea he was only 15 until after the race. Nice kid. I have spoken to him several times since but not so far this season. Good luck Sunday. You don’t know me but we actually met at a small race last year in Cordele, GA. where you smoked everybody. I was one rack over in the transition. I remember you saying you were expecting a child and we joked that that would put an end to yuor elite status! Obviously not.

Good God! You’re in my age group. If I’m supposed to be racing solely against myself and the conditions, why do I suddenly have the urge to pee and vomit at the same time?

This may sound a little weird, but I’m really looking forward to saying hi to Karen Smyers this weekend (if I bump into her). She’s old-shool, and she’s cool.

What may sound even weirder is that the Godlove kid says hi to ME whenever he sees me. Obviously he doesn’t realize that he’s going to be a triathlon superstar soon, and that he has no business hobnobbing with the hoi polloi. But he can’t help it - he’s too nice of a kid.
