Recently did a half marathon in the Metaspeed Paris Sky. Haven’t raced in the AF3, but after a training run, I’m definitely planning on using them for my next IM marathon and likely 70.3 world HM as well.

The advantage of the Paris Sky over the previous versions (to me) is that it’s a little lighter and softer, but equally as fast.

I do feel the AF3 is a little faster and significantly softer still. So I can’t really sign a downside to using them in an half vs a full.

Checked them out at the store but my size wasn’t available. My take on it was for no socks the AFly would be less hard due to the no seams inside the shoe. The upgraded outsole landing area and grip tread also seemed to be quite an upgrade–however, since no sizes were available to try, hard to tell–thus, the input frrom others IF they tried either. Really been eyeing the Metaspeed Edge though…but…with VF4 only a few months away from release & an all new upper on it–should be interesting & worth the wait.

I’ve done a fair bit of A vs B testing of these shoes and I’d personally rate the AF (either 1 or 3) above the Sky which would be above the Vaporfly, which would be above the Edge for speed. AF have a distinct feel though, which you may or may not like, the rest feel like pretty normal shoes. I’m guessing you have more inside info, but it’s easy to assume the vaporfly update will be a similar sole with an improved upper, which probably wouldn’t shuffle up the decks much. They’re all good shoes.

I feel the same way. AF3 definitely wins between those two, but my favorite is Adidas Adios Pro 3. Pop is unreal.

Interesting. I’ve had 3 pair of the Pro 3’s, so I like them, but I don’t find the bounce/pop anywhere near as much as a new pair of Vapors or Alphas.

Same here. Love the Pro 3s. They’re a great shoe and I have raced in them. But I would Alphas for race day every time. I put the Adios Pro 3 and Next% in the same ball park. But the good thing with Adios Pro is they have lasted me a LONG time. Almost 500 miles on them and they do not show much wear.
