I think you also have to put Misty May and Kerri Walsh in there somewhere. They were nonstop gold in tournaments for about 10 years.

If you take into account international volleyball, i would suggest french Earvin Ngapeth who won gold in the Olympic Games both in 2021 and 2024. He was voted MVP for both. The french team is ok but was really a dark horse. Earvin is a bit of a character who had runs in with the law and got his minute of fame when he appeared clearly drunk on french TV after winning gold in 2021. I am not a volleyball fan but they managed to have really amazing result for a sport which is not really big in a country where you have soccer, handball, rugby, or basketball which all have great following and a history of success.
