Since there is at least one person on this board who has never heard of Gary Hall Sr, there are probably a few others who may not be aware that the Hall athletic legacy is 3 generations and will probably grow to more. Gary Hall Sr’s father in law is Charlie Keating (yes, the Charlie Keating). Charlie Keating was a close to Olympic caliber swimmer in the 1940s. His son, Charlie Keating Jr was an Olympic swimmer (I think). Charlie Keating Sr’s daughter married Gary Hall Sr so Gary Hall junior ended up with some pretty good swimming genes. Charlie Keating Jr married a woman who was on the track team at either ASU or UoA (then divorced). Their kids used to run on the same track team as my kids. The Keating kids did some univ cross country running. I am sure there are other accomplishments from the Keating and Hall children.
So, a pretty sports amazing legacy in the Keating/Hall family.
