Just wondering. I was watching a video about the “Ironwar” between Dave Scott and Mark Allen and Scott had a pretty sweet 'stache in that race. For any of you guys or gals that have one, does it make you feel faster? Mine does.
since you have it maybe you can explain why you decided to have it? I can see shaved, I can see full beard, I can see 3-4 days growth all over, but I never figured out the appeal of a mustache: yeah, it looked good on Tom Selleck, but he also had the genes for it…
It’s a spiritual thing.
It also looks good if you’re a porn star, too

It’ll be interesting to see if any of the ladies chime in on this. Oh, and pics are a requisite.

I have goatee where the mustache and beard are separate. I dig the Capitan Morgan look.
It’s a requirement of my bloodline. If male, you have to have a mustache, wear French cuffshirts when a dress shirt is required, drive black cars, put mayonnaise on ham sandwiches, and own Collies (I made the switch to Basset Hounds – too much damn hair on a Collie). My upper lip has never seen a blade.
I have never understood the mustache aversion given all the godforsaken goatees walking around. Now there is some crappy looking stuff on a lot of people.
Absolutely, it makes me feel faster. I think it makes more look faster to my competition, too. In triathlon races, the mustache is a big intimidator. I’ve got most people beat mentally before the race starts when I am sporting a 'stache. I can see it in their eyes. It’s like they are prey and I’m the predator.
I lost mine for a few weeks in boot camp USMC
Never again boot camp or stash less.
i had a goatee for a while in the winter a few times (because of the cold during runs). but when i was swimming, it felt like a trail of drool.
the only stach i’ve had is after a milkshake.

Two years ago at the SB tri I rocked it big time…
I was just about to cut in my Dave Zebriski tribute stache.
My goatee & mustache don’t make me faster, but they make me look more like my age.
I’m turning 38 this year, but regularly being mistaken for someone in his mid-twenties. OK, I can live with that
But without the goatee & mustache I’m often being mistaken for a teenie. No thanks! Getting the ‘I could be your father/mother’ look or being asked to ID yourself when buying some booze isn’t that fun anymore when you’re tending towards your forties…
since high school 22 years ago,it"s been shaved off twice but grown right back,i had a beard for years, trying to go beardless these days but every once in a while one will pop up

Deeg has a beard, if you know what I mean.
Sort of. I basically let it grow till it annoys me and then shave it off.
This is usually a two/three week cycle.
