Looking for a set of new 404 clinchers, who has the best prices on-line…seems like most are selling at $1950 a set.
Thanks

I have the best price. 606 clinchers for 1500 in the classifieds. Only about 500 miles on them.
I have a new set of 404 tubulars, no tires ever mounted, new in the box. Let me know if you are interested…
Most are at that price because that is what Zipp sets the price for (in Canada anyways). We did have a set in here for less than that, as they sat on the wall for a couple of months. Now my wife is on them and I don’t think you’ll be able to pry them out of her bike;)
No one has the best prices. But one of the best places for service would have to be Wheelbuilder.com.
Couldn’t agree more with Wheelebuilder. At this price point, you want the best built wheels you can get, not the best price possible.
People on my team train in their rear 404 with powertap built by Richie. Riding em for 2+ years and have never needed to true it.
Zipp is pretty harsh on keeping the prices up to where they should be.
What you need to do is find a dealer and really lean on them for a rebate. Figure out in your head how much you are willing to pay (I’d suggest you go in with $1500 on your mind) and then be willing to walk out if they don’t bite. Throw in an offer to buy the tires and a few other cheaper items to sweeten the pot.
I decided to go with the dealer that sold me the bike, I was able to get it for $300 off the $1,900 list price. Good enough discount for me.
They are somewhat local to me and spent almost a full day fitting me for the bike, so I’m happy.
Now on to LP.

I purchased a new pair of 404’s for $1,650 from Inside Out at IMCDA a couple weeks ago. They had a special running for the event. Took a little sting out of the price!
