That being said, having rowed on the Schuylkill, I can’t imagine swimming in it. Some friends of mine from Philly who rowed said that there were several stories of kids falling in while capsizing small boats in practice and being taken to the Philly hospital and given preventative antibiotics. Not sure where the swim was, but on the rowing course, at least, the water is filthy…
