Which tubeless tire patch

What do you recommend for tubeless tire patches, for road tires?

I’ve tried to use the same patches I use on my tubes and they just aren’t holding above 40ish PSI

I’ve settled on Gorilla Tape superglued using a clamp to fix in place. This has worked to extend the life of otherwise good condition tires.

I’m looking forward to the new Leyzne plugs introduced at eurobike: https://bikerumor.com/lezyne-2022-eurobike-tubeless-tire-repair-airtag-trackers-new-pumps/

These look like a great fix. These are already available on the market for tire repairs to larger vehicles. Haven’t looked extensively to see if there are existing offerings with small diameter plugs and patches.

If something seals, I find it doesn’t need any further patching. If it’s too big to seal, I’ll use a dynaplug

What about when the dynaplug doesn’t hold?

Crazily - I can do a bunch of gravel riding and don’t get flats. But when I’m on the road, I seem to get more slashes in the tire that don’t always seal with the dynaplug or the bacon strip…

You can put in a second plug to get yourself home. Usually replace a tire in that case, although it’s only happened once. I guess I figure if there’s that big of a hole than the patch is actually taking the load of the tire rather than just plugging a leak.

I have a few Park Tools GP-2 Super Patches keeping air and fluid in one tubeless set up. I can’t remember how long they have been there - a year or two anyway.

Road application / higher pressure?

Yes, applied on the road. Carefully cleaned area and dried before applying. Running around 80-85 psi.
