Roka aero elite 2 is on sale right now, HUUB Anemoi Aero +Bonded and Garneau Aero Tri Suit by Lionel Sanders are also in the same price range.
I am 5’8 with bulky shoulder. Which one would you recommend?
Thank you.
Sorry, I haven’t worn any of those tri suits, but would you consider buying all of them, trying them on and then returning the ones you don’t want?
I’m currently in the Huub Anemoi and prior to that was in the Kiwami LD Aero.
Both for under 200 (through sales), both fantastic. Just did an HIM in the Anemoi and all was good. I typically train in a Zoot for comfort and ease of opening the upper, but it’s measurably and consistently slower on the bike (shoulder/chest area is just a bit looser, especially when wet), so don’t race in it.
Roka fit small. I upgraded to a WYN republic trisuit and its unbelievable. Honestly, the highest quality most comfortable piece of triathlon apparel I’ve ever owned. They are having a Memorial day sale 25% off their site right now, so you can get one of their high end Velocity X suits just under $250.
Out of those 3 I would be willing to bet at least $1002 that for more people the Anemoi bonded is going to be the faster suit for the most people
I’ve had 2 of these in the past. You will need to go to a craft store like Michaels and get a clothing repair kit. In both of mine I ended up regluing and then putting those little round things that you see in wetsuits over various seams.
The last race I did in my Anemoi right before the pool swim this past March, we’re all lined up and this woman walks over to me and says “I can see your ass cheek” Yes, another seam had come apart right before the swim start. Shrugged my shoulders, got a compliment from the RD on my butt and dove in the water when they called my number.
I fully blame the rip on the reason I was out of the water 3rd :03 behind 2nd and not out of the water 2nd
The other thing I noticed is the arm hole on both of my HUUB’s was tight. I have a set of some of the most aerodynamic biceps in the world (aka tiny, tiny biceps). If this is not you, you may need a different suit.
IMO HUUB is one of the most innovative brands in triathlon right now. If you’re reading this HUUB, call me.
Thank you for the insights on HUUB !
Have you tried the newer anemoi 2 ? Does it have the same seam problem?

Haven’t tried it. Stopped racing in 2021 bc I tore my calf in 2 spots. Just do some team stuff (S & B) occasionally.

I had the same suit
Same problems with the seams coming unglued
Last race I put a camel back down the front only to have it drop out because the waist seam completely came apart
56 miles nothing to drink and no nutrition
Can’t trust the Huub anymore unfortunately
