NB 1025 have been great!
Training: ASICS DS Trainers and/or Mizuno Wave Precision for long runs
Trails/offroad/snow: Inov-8 Terra Roc (with YakTraks in the snow/ice)
Temp runs, hills, track: Saucony type-A
Races: Saucony type-A (1/2 marathon on up), OLD Nike flame flats (10K on down)
.
Currently saucony grid hurricanes. Considering switching though, I’d like some better cushioning if I can find it and don’t need pronation control. I want to get the nike+ kit to use with my ipod so I may take a peek at what nike has to offer (although there appear to be ways to use them with other shoes).
Training: Brooks Adrenaline VII
Racing 5 to 10K:Asics DS Racers
1/2 Mary & Tris:Asics DS Trainers
.
I have been wearing Vitruvian Proportion IIs for a while.
I just got a pair of the Brooks Burn 3 this fall and I like them. If you don’t need stability features they have a very soft and supple fit.
training: miz creation 7
racing (& short bricks): adistar comp

Asics 2120’s for training
Asics DS Trainers for racing.

Mizuno Wave Inspire 2

Training: Asics GT 2110
Racing: Asics DS Trainer
Snow & Ice: Asics Gel Arctic WR - complete with little steel spikes for traction. These shoes are a gift from god for anyone who has fallen when hitting an icy patch. I ran a 1/2 marathon on Saturday on snowy/icy trails in these for my first run in them. They’re unbelievable for traction and they only weigh about an ounce more than the GT’s…
Racing: Nike Mayfly
Training: Nike Free, Adidas Adizero, Saucony Static Racer and some other racing flats.
General road training–Vitruvian Proportion II
trail–Asics outback XCS spikeless
race (and occasional training)–Asics Magic Gel Racer
Despite the weight difference between the Magic gels and the Vits, I hardly notice the difference on my feet. The Vits are firm soled and have a flexible forefoot and only a 9mm heel height–vs 12 mm on most trainers.
Mizuno Nirvana/ Mizuno Elixir/ Mizuno Revolver.
Switched to Brooks this year from Saucony but ended up losing 4 toenails. Need to find another option. No way do I want to screw up my pedicure in season!
