I am looking to purchase a used quarq to go onto my 2011 speed concept. I believe that any of the 130 BDC units will work. Just looking for some conformation before i drop the money on it. Thank you in advance guys.
You need GXP and not BB30. The 130 or 110 BCD doesn’t matter as either works. It’s just the type of BB you need to worry about.
I guess given that information I would ask which one would be the easiest install for me? I have a Sram force crank now. There is both a Sram and a Rotor avaliable at the moment on the classifieds.
the SRAM, the Rotor uses different BB cups. However I will disagree with the previous poster, 130 or 110 BCD does matter. 110 BCD is a compact crank, typically 50/34 tooth chainrings, a 130 BCD is standard and typically 53/39.
What size are your current chainrings?
I am running a standard setup 53/39.
then unless you want different gearing you want a 130 BCD crank. The SRAM to SRAM swap is easy to do. Hope that helps.
Yes it did help quite a bit. It made the decision for me on which unit I will be picking up. Now the only thing left to do is to grab one and start training with power!

I meant that 130 or 110 doesn’t mean anything in regard to what fits the SC… which was his question.
The new quarq has a GXP option or a “GXP Press Fit” option. I also have a 2011 SC, althought it’s a 9.9.
I know w/ the 2012 or 2013 SRAM Red Quarq I’d need to buy a new SRAM Red Yaw front derailleur, just not sure if I need the press fit GXP or the regular old GXP.
