~1250g25mm external/18.2mm internalnormally $unknownsale ends Nov 30thhave to pay USA customs fees on entry to the country?I added the 3 far east brands, but my main considerations are the Aeron X Disc and PremierBike Disc right now. Originally was interested in the LightBicycle UFO Disc but I’ve read a few comments on this forum that some people decided to return them, or just flat out cancel their order when seeing the pictures before they delivered them. The 21mm internal width was a concern, possibly making 25mm tires much wider, but it has the 28mm external to make up for it too. Read that the Elitewheels have shit hubs on here. Haven’t really seen anything good or bad about the Yeoleo on here. The Aeron X is in the lead in my head right now because of the 25.6mm external width, as I predict this to be the fastest rim with 25mm tires. It also has the weight and looks on it’s side.

They are all full carbon I believe, so they should all make the fabled whoosh whoosh sound, yes? 🙂

Thoughts? What would you get?

I’d go for either Premier or Aerocoach

Both companies owned/run by great guys who are contributors to the forum so I’d rather support them than the others
.

Tell the non-US sellers to declare the value under $800 so that no duty is owed.

I’ve been very happy with my premier wheels.

Why I am I not surprised you would recommend committing customs fraud

Aerocoach is just out of budget unless they bring back their ex demo/team equipment soon.

No love for Aeron x from anyone?

I use a Ron5 and pretty happy with it!
As I would have to pay customs and tax on delivery to the UK I contacted them and they invoiced me for it with the VAT deducted.

Smart idea, I appreciate it.

I would have included HED but I want a full structurally carbon disc, plus I don’t like the look of the silver aluminum brake track.

Also seems like some of the other options, (Aeron, PremierBike) are testing faster than HED.

Sorry, but my suppliers declare a low value on all of my shipments because there are many ways of valuing items.

Rim brake version is $754.99. I don’t really like the Prime brand. Prime and Superteam are a no-go for me. Elitewheels are on the line.

Why don’t you like the Prime? I love mine and thats coming from someone who has had Zipps previously. Id choose the Prime over a Zipp even if they were both free. Plus no US custom fees…

I have the RCD Black rim brake has a black aluminum rim. For me competing in the Pacific Northwest I wanted wheels with great wet braking performance.

I would be curious to see the stats that compare performance.

Flo’s disc is at $1,150 before their current $200 off Black Friday special. Might be worth a look. I ran Flo 45s on my P3 and was very happy with them. Sold the bike but kept the wheels.

The Aeron X has a grooved brake track. The Premierbike disc has a scuffed surface, not grooved though like hed/aeron. The hed jet black version is just a bit out of my price range.

The fact you are trying to justify committing fraud also does not surprise me
.

I will do it every day of the week and not even think about it.

Each response makes you look worse, yet each response is also less surprising. Funny how that works.
