Which disc wheel should I get? It looks like I can buy all three at about the same price. Any recommendations between the HED jet disc, Vision Metron, or Flo Carbon Disc?
Don’t know much about the aerodynamics of the vision disc, and i know flo and hed are both very good, so whichever of those two is lighter. On the rear, braking doesn’t matter as much anyway, so might as well save a little weight ifb you can.
Dude, I saw the HED at a race expo over here in Dubai. Screw the aero and weight data (of which I know nothing). It looks bada**, hands down HED!
HED if you want an aluminum brake track. FLO if you want a full carbon clincher.
According to Starky they Vision has good aero. Thats what he runs, but the decals are kinda ugly to me. HED is known for good aero. The Flo looks good. I haven’t seen it compared to the HED or Vision though. I currently have an old set of Flo wheels that run well.
I’d add the Aerocoach Aeox disc to your list. Another option would be the Premier disc, but I don’t think think Dan has released any of the data on it.
Yep. It’s what i got from the ST forums. Can’t wait to run it this year.
Can’t go wrong with Hed. I pretty much buy only Hed wheels now days and have done for years.
As far as the disc mentioned I would go prolly with FLOs disc because it is TLR disc and unread of using those contis I’d try the Victoria corsa speed TLR since they’re the fastest tires on earth right now.
I had the FLO Clyde build alum track and it was fine no issues except trying to inflate the tube, I think they have started redesigning the opening a bit so it is higher on the disc as to make it easier to use any pump
Renn 555. Whomp whomp.

PRO DISC WHEEL CLINCHER
That thing weighs a ton & a whole lot more expensive than almost all of the 3 discs combined, but when you for it, you got IT!!!
Definitely… I could buy all 3 for the price of a Pro
Now the Question is will the 25mm Wheels fit without problems on my Slice… I think they will, but I don’t have a 25mm to compare. Any experience with a newer model Cannondale Slice and 25mm wheels?
Also I am looking at the HED Jet C2, HED Jet Plus, and HED Jet Black. Is the Black significantly better? I race mostly flat courses, so I don’t think the better braking surface is advantageous to me. Are there other benefits?
Definitely… I could buy all 3 for the price of a Pro
Ya pretty crazy to buy an Ultegra level hub for that type of coin, especially given Shimano’s history of lack-luster aero wheels. HED or Aero-coach
The real question which everyone has failed to ask is what bike is it going in? There are bikes where a flat disc is 1-3w faster and there are bikes where a buldged disc like the HeD is a 1-3w faster option.
For the most part a disc is a disc is a disc. Where you see some savings is from what bike you’re using it in.
Can I ask you what your thoughts are for most the suitable disc on a P5? Thx.
Newer model Canondale Slice…not the most aero frame but comfortable and I can stay in aero for an entire 56 or 112.
I’d go with a bulged disc probably

Thanks for all the replies… It looks like I am headed towards a HED Disc Jet Disc. Besides braking, is there any advantage to the Black? I live on the Gulf Coast and plan for mostly flattish races.
