I’ve only used the H3 out of that list but the ERG mode has been perfect 100% of the time with Zwift. No issues at all. Also a very stable unit when I’m sprinting but I’m only 150 lbs.
I did have an electronics issue with one unit and Saris sent me a new one right away.
If you haven’t already, I would check out DC Rainmaker’s reviews for each unit and see if there’s anything that narrows your list down. Here’s what he said about the H3 going through his ERG test:
“And the H3 easily passed this test. In fact, it did it really well. The control exhibited by the trainer in maintaining the wattage set-point was easily the best I’ve tested this season, including things not yet announced. It’s really strong. I remember talking with one of the leads at TrainerRoad a year or so ago, and he mentioned how for his personal use he really preferred the CycleOps Hammer because of how precise it was in ERG mode. There’s no doubt that tradition has carried through to the Saris H3 as well.â€
Came here to say what lang said. Another vote for the H3. I picked mine up last winter when my fluid trainer bit the dust. DCR’s review + my LBS actually having it in stock felt like a sign!
I like our two CycleOps/Saris trainers but the H3 has a top cap spacer under the freehub body that is poorly made. I’ve broken one already by over tightening the end cap and TA. My original Hammer doesn’t have that and has been great. I’m hoping the H4 has a direct connection (like Wahoo has built in even if Zwift doesn’t support it yet) and gets rid of the top cap.
