Which cordless headphones for watching tv/listening to music while on trainer/treadmill?

Outdoor race season’s over and I’m prepping for more indoor workouts. I’m looking for some cordless headphones that I can use to capture TV sound also easily switch to iphone while on trainer or run outside if I’m doing that. Is there such a product? Im assuming blue tooth is the way to go here.

I bought the jaybird spirit freedoms a few months ago to use on the trainer and they have been great. I have also used them for a few runs and just wearing them if I am taking the train. Got them off Amazon for a good price.

Ive been using the Motorola S10 and have fit my needs. Come with 3 different size earplugs. Attached is the link to the new S11 version

I may be misinformed, but I had heard that bluetooth headphones have a slight lag. No issue at all if you’re listening to music, but if you’re watching TV could mean that the sound and the picture are out of synch. For that reason I went with some cheap FM headphones. They’re the chunky over-ear type which does get a bit sweaty, but they cost me ~$50 and have lasted 4 years with absolutely no problems.

yurbuds has new ones.

Siemens, have been using same pair for 3 years. Great sound. Bought a second pair for wife to use at same time on elliptical

On the bike trainer I use Parrot Zik headphones. Bluetooth. Noise cancel technology. Really nice. I sweat all over them and no problems to date.

I have used the jaybrids bluebuds connected to a BT dongle plugged into the jack in the TV. I quickly stopped doing that as there was just a lot of overhead in making sure it worked (battery, pairing, etc). I switched to a audio headphone extension cable plugged into my awesome etyomic noise reduction headphones and could not be happier and it works 100% of the time.

which model headphones do you use?

etymotic MC5. Disclaimer is if you like heavy artificial base these are not going to be good HP for you. If you want music and sound naturally these are much better. I bought them for airplane travel as that essentially isolate all noise but they work awesome for trainer rides as well.

I got my new Plantronics Backbeat Fit last week and so far I’m completely satisfied. Does not move during running or cycling and has decent sound quality.

some of these headphone recs are not wireless–I’m tired of wired headphones and fkng with them I dont care how great they sound :). Can anyone verify the delay that was mentioned with bluetooth?

Yes, there is a delay, but is is minimal at most. It’s not as if everything looks like an old dubbed kung fu movie. Not even close.

For the record, I have these:

They work just fine with a usb BT transmitter in a laptop or a transmitter put into the headphone jack with older equipment.

I went to Radio Shack and just grabbed what they had that was reasonable (Auvio, bright blue box). There is no delay, or if there is one I can’t notice it at all. They work great and cost about $60. Burn through batteries pretty fast, but they are just standard aa or aaa, so not expensive. It took a few turns to get used to the over the ear pressure on my ears for more than an hour, but like everything, you get used to it. Way better than corded.

For $60, just buy the Jaybird Freedom Sprint online for around that price. 100% waterproof, worth it for the sweat protection.

I don’t own these but when I’m ready to buy a pair I think these are a good choice for the price.
