Which calorie counting app do you use?

I have tried my plate but it does not summarize well and if you skip entry for a day I cannot seem to see how to go back to enter.

What are some of the other good ones.

Lose It! Weight Loss Program and Calorie Counter

Myfitnesspal. It has a neat feature where you can import recipes from online or build them yourselves. Good if you are trying to figure out your calories from home cooked meals.

I like fitday.com. It also has the option of creating custom foods

X2 on myfitnesspal. I think it has a better database than lose it and I like the easy access pie chart for protein / carb/ fat intake.

myfitnesspal, one of the best. I use it two to three days a week to make sure my nutritional needs are being met and i am not over eating.

I’ve used MyFitnessPal and lost the 30 lbs that I gained with my hip problems, surgeries, recoveries. But I think with it, you should log your food intake and not give yourself credits for workouts. They give too much credit for exercise.

I lost 75 pounds using Lose It. I don’t count calories anymore, but I do use my fitness pal to check on calories/macros when I don’t feel like I can make a rough guesstimate

MyFitnessPal, extra cool since the integration with Garmin Connect!

I really like Lose It! It was easy to use and worked well for me.

I opened my fitnesspal and started logging calories, how do you get it to sync with garmin connect? I see it has a link but I cannot get the calories to come over. Does this happen automatically??

Longtime user of loseit. Very annoyed that they can share all sorts of data with apple health, except weight. Myfitnesspal looks very good, but the lack of a data export feature has kept me from switching.

On MyFitnessPal, I had to go to the “Apps” tab, find the Garmin Connect app and connect them; from then on, calories consumed showed up in Garmin Connect, and workouts from Garmin Connect showed up in MyFitnessPal. I think on the first day things were screwed up, but from the second day on, it worked.

Two details: you can’t have your MFP connected to anything else (such as Strava), or you’ll get your workouts counted multiply. Also, sometimes I have to click on “Sync” in Garmin Connect in the browser to get it to update the calories in the Garmin Connect Mobile app.

myfitnesspal. I like the way that Garmin Connect syncs with it plus the food database seems to be pretty darn good. I find stuff that I never thought I would. The only issue I have is that, based upon the app, I should be loosing weight but then it has only been a week. Of course that may be because I’m not always selecting the right stuff and not getting all calories registered.

I use the FitBit device & its app. Well worth the $100. It’s a super convenient & easy to use app for logging your food + your exercise. Never been easier to make sure calories in < calories out!

I use myfitnesspal. It has a great data base and easy to use from the mobile device.

MFP as well. I like the bar code scanning feature. I don’t use it much anymore because I’m pretty happy with my current weight range but it helped me stay focused when I needed to lose 30lbs. A couple of my buddies were using it as well so it it was one more thing to compete with them on.
