Where'd all you people go?

… who were eager to avail yourself of the fit exercise? crickets! (see sticky thread.)

I’m bored to tears and would respond except I didn’t get a number set yet.

I’m bored to tears and would respond except I didn’t get a number set yet.

what’s a number set?

Pad X and Y, you know, a set of numbers.

i assume you mean you gave me your height and saddle height on the prior thread and i haven’t give you pad x/y. i’ll go over there and locate it.

found it. you slipped by me. what i get is:

pad y = 582
pad x = 456

do you know how that compares with how you’re currently riding?

I am going off memory and can edit this once I get home, but I think it is:

Pad Y = 537mm
Pad X = 505mm (this is the one I have doubts on)

Your numbers don’t look that hateful for a kicking off point.

can you post this over to the sticky thread? and, note what company you’re in with 537mm/505mm. not much. just the other kooks.

if you measure when you get home can you also measure drop from saddle to pads? and, any pics of the bike, or better yet you on the bike, would add color.

If you see any value in it, I’ll try to get you a few numbers from my customers’ data tonight, if time permits. Maybe it’s reaching a bit, but it might be fun for me to see how my work stacks up against your expected results.

Edit: My data is based on measuring to the top center of the saddle (although I’m contemplating changing that), so that might skew the results a bit. Maybe too much to be useful?

I will try and remember to check saddle height and post back later today or tomorrow, I am interested in what it says.

I’m interested. So, post height and saddle height in first thread, receive theoretical stack/reach, report back in sticky thread?

… who were eager to avail yourself of the fit exercise? crickets! (see sticky thread.)

Didn’t post because I have a very weird fit which is not st approved…didn’t want to derail the other thread.

But here goes:

5’8.5
Seat height at 760

caveats, i am just giving up a p5x and rebuilding my 20 year old MCR 2 with a custom seat post which from Roberts composites which puts me at at least 85deg, also ride longer than typical st cranks

Wife:

5’4 ish
Seat height at 720, cl at 175.

Long story short I look at FC first, then st angle then fork rake then head tube…then pad x/y adjustability.

Have pad x/y for my wife at home, still messing with mine. Both long and lowish.

2c.

Maurice

As soon as my bike is back from the shop, with the new seatpost replacing the cracked one, I’ll post there.
