Where to swim in Palo Alto area

So it looks like I’m going to be spending some time in Palo Alto for work over the next few weeks, and while I can bring my running shoes and ride the bike in the hotel gym, this is really gonna put a dent in my swim training if I can’t find a place to swim in the area. I’m not a Masters swimmer, but rather just swim at my health club (3-4 times/wk, 2500-3000 yds per session), so I’m hoping I can find a place that’s open for a fee to the public in the evenings.

Any suggestions???

Thanks.

Jon

Right in Palo Alto there are a couple of options. Rinconada pool and Burgess pool in nearby Menlo Park:

If you want to swim masters I would suggest Stanford Masters (http://masters.stanford.edu) Drop by the store and say “hi” as we’re right in Palo Alto too.

I don’t know what it takes to get into the Stanford pools but that is like the finest pool complex I have ever seen.

Anyone can swim with the Stanford Masters group during the workout times. To use the pool otherwise you need to have a Stanford ID issued to students, faculty and staff.
