you mean Bozzone?

SOB, where did you qualify? I’m still on the hunt. If not, I’ll blame my coach.

mooseman this past weekend.

Damn, you Qualified with a 4:40. Were you the last one in the AG to get a spot or did it roll down a bit?

Congrats.

Venue is in Clearwater obviously, so you fly into Tampa International taking Jetblue from Whiteplains Airport. Easiest way and cheapest. And they take your bike box for about $35.

Stay in either Clearwater or St. Petersburg. I like St. Petersburg personally only because I think there is more to do if you want to make it into a vacation for the wife as well. She will dig the food. You can stay right on the water for an affordable rate at the Comfort Inn in Downtown St. Petersburg. It’s a 30 minute bike ride or 15 minute drive to Clearwater.

it was a tough course, and there were 5 slots for my AGE. i was third so i figured i at least earned the spot. i will test this out at timberman AND syracuse this year. see if i can fall in the qualify range.

i wouldn’t have taken it if it rolled down. i am not a believer in the roll down slot system.

I was at Rev3, but I’ll make sure to look out for you at Timberman. Look out for ChrisG at Timberman as well. Of course, he and I are outside your AG, being old and all…

Any idea how many slots there were for the the other various age groups?

Of all the places you could go on vacation, your wife has to go to Clearwater?

that’s what i said… but we live in NY so come Nov clearwater will look rather nice i am sure.

i was, before this, looking at the costa rico REV3 race

Congrats on qualifying!

I just qualified at Hawii last weekend. I made my hotel reservations at the Hilton. It is a block and a half away from Pier 60 (transition is setup there). Looks like a good central place to stay. Last year we were at a condo about 3/4 miles away.

pier 60… that’s the kind of insight i need.

thanks.

Hilton it probably is then.

x2 on Hilton, very convenient to everything race-related
.

it is really sad that i knew exactly what you were asking by just reading the headline.

i knew most would…

The Hilton is nice, but check around since there are a bunch of less expensive hotels within walking distance to transition (less than $100 per night). They’re not hilton swanky but fine for the price paid.
