Never done IMAZ and not familar with Tempe. Any rec. on where to ride safely few days before IMAZ?
If you have a car you can drive out to the gas station on the b line and ride that part of the course. It’s 18mi to Shea and back. Tons of other places in town as well, just be careful as we’ve had a string of people getting hit.
Tempe to Shea is a really nice ride. Almost anything else around will be 1 mile sprints from light to light. Look on MapMyRide for other rides that may interest you.
If you are in town Wednesday Trisports Tempe will be hosting a group ride. The Tribe Thursday night ride and Saturday ride are good routes. They used to have maps on their website.
I’ll be doing the TriSports ride on Wednesday AM. Supposed to be 20 miles, mostly flat, some steady, short, ups and downs. Should be a easy one!
Is the Beeline OK to ride on shoulders?
Yes. Typical road debris but in good shape and wide.
