Where to open water swim in Fort Collins, CO?

Where is a good place to open water swim in fort collins, co? horsetooth? Any swim groups?

only place, and I mean only legal place is lindemeir lake, you often need a homeowner that you know who can allow you in but it isn’t examined very often so you could theoretically sneak in, you break that swim beach in horsetooths boundaries and you’re looking at a 250 dollar ticket. It sucked.

Pretty limited really. 3x Fast puts on an open water swim at Lake Loveland every other Wednesday at 6pm.

In addition to Lindermeir, you can swim at Warren lake, again you need to know a home owner there. I’ve also swam down at Pelican Lakes in Windsor, apparently Greeley tri club hosts a swim there Monday and Fridays.

There’s always stroke and stride down in Boulder.
