I know many have modified their discs to solve this problem, but it seems that this is a market void that should have been filled by now. Anyone know where I can get latex tubes with a short presta valve stem ? Goal is to be able to use silca Hiro chuck with Zipp super 9 disc.
Thanks,
RG
Not sure about 36mm, but on rappstars recommendation, I bought a bunch of 42mm Vredestein latex tubes. Could only find them on ebay.
thanks, I found one on ebay and will give it a shot
.
Looks like this guy might have a bunch available, not cheap…
Hijacking this thread…
I’ve got some Vittoria’s with 50mm stems and was planning on installing one in a Super 9 this for a race this weekend. Will I be able to fit a standard crack pipe adapter in there?
You -might- have room to fit one of the classic size silca crack pipes in there, but there is no way you’d get one of the larger Hirami style crack pipes in there. Better try it out before race day!
probikekit in UK has 40mm Michelin
.
I bought some Vred’s from biketiresdirect.com. They’re ultra thin. Little leery but used in New Orleans and will use at Texas
money. those were the one’s I was looking for. thanks.
