I just got a Feedback bike repair stand and the clamp mechanism clearly wasn’t designed for a tri seat tube. That said, it will support the bike if I clamp it to the seat tube but I’m just nervous about applying too much pressure so I’m wondering if I should just keep clamping it to the seat tube or the top tube instead. I just don’t want to crush the carbon fiber, obviously.
Unless you have a round seat tube, clamp it to the top tube instead. Put the clamp near the bike’s balance point so you won’t need too much pressure when clamping.

This is what I do with my P2. I tighten the clamp just enough to hold the bike in place.
Another option is to wrap the top-tube in a doubled-up towel and clamp the towel, that way the towel can take the clamp forces and you aren’t point clamping any carbon…actually pipe insulation could also work come to think of it.
Unless I actually NEED to clamp the frame, I don’t. I just hang the bike from the stand by the tip of the seat, with a shop rag to keep the stand from banging the seatpost which works fine for 95% of anything I need to do, derailleur adjustments and the like.
