Where can I rent a High end road bike in San Juan PR

My wife has a conference in San Juan and I will join her. During the day she will be in meetings so I was going to ride and explore. Any routes are welcome as well. Thanks.

having raced IM 70.3 San Juan this year I will just say I did not find riding a bike to be a safe choice, streets are extremely busy and driving pretty erratic… but maybe people who live or are more familiar can chime in… I also did not see as many athletes as are normally out on the roads during IM weekend.

Was stationed there 10 yrs ago, I wouldn’t ride there. Bad roads, no bike lanes, distracted drivers. We had a member get taken out by a car who was layed up in the hospital for a long while, he ended up being flown to FL and never returned to the island. Go do open water swims.

My husband and I are signed up for the PR 70.3 next March. I read in one blog about how dangerous the traffic is in San Juan. This is one blog I read: “Mix that with some of the most aggressive, inconsiderate and downright violent drivers I have ever encountered and you get a fairly inopportune situation to ride your bicycle”

It sounds like you need to wake up very early in the morning to ride your bike. I’m hoping someone can chime in and mention someplace safe to ride that most people might not know about.
