I need 4 80mm M5 bolts that are countersunk and prefer have a hex socket head.
Wow I have been searching the web for 30min+. It is amazing that this type of bolt in a countersunk with hex socket head is that difficult to find in the US. Found several online locations in the UK.
I would prefer to buy locally but after doing lots of calling around does not look possible.
Appreciate it. I have purchased other bolts from McMC and had seen the bolts with the phillips head. Hoped for hex head. Guess I could torq a phillips head.
I buy from these guys: http://www.fastener-express.com/
They take paypal and deliver super quick.
BTW, I use stainless bolts for everything on my bikes. Saves a lot of problems later when you need to do maintenance…
.
I appreciate all the sites. Unfortunately going through each of them none of them offer a M5 that is 80mm long with hex and counter sunk.
It just seems amazing that this is so difficult to find.
I have also called about 20 places. Lots of interesting places like Racebolts.com that specialize in weird bolts but no go. Racebolt gentlemen suggested that most come to him for really odd sized bolts and if he does not have them then no one would.
I would be all over that if I could find a longer one. Looks like the longest is 60mm. I thought I was already being smart milling my own risers out of aluminum. But should have figured out where I was going to get the bolts first.

I guess you better start making your own bolts too.
Yes you would definitely think McMC would have it but no dice. Either no countersunk or no socket head. Otherwise everything good. Buy 10 at a time. Reasonable shipping. I have purchased many things from them and shipping is fast to here.
I would really consider making my own but I don’t know how to create a socket head. Have no idea how to cut such a small square in the head
Let me check my tool box. I purchased some a couple years back to get my armrests up a little higher. PM your address to me, and I will throw some in the mail
They are very close but I really needed a countersunk head.
This question has come up on the forum a few times without a source. I would really like to find a place so it can be shared with others with the same need. I have also seen the need on other forums.
