Where are you mounting/hiding your SM--EWW01?

Anyone? I am thinking of putting mine internally with the battery, although Shimano shows it on the chainstay. Any reason you’d want to access the thing?

In normal speak, Di2 wireless connectivity with D-Fly:

.

On my roadbike, in the seat tube, working fine.

Sorry for the hijak, but does anyone know if it works with the Joule GPS? And I’m guessing you can just plug it in any unused etube port.

Works anywhere on di2 bus. Only works with edge 1000 and the scio computer at this point.

Curious, what are the “other common rider data functions” Shimano touts?

Shimano D-Fly transmits data through a proprietary private ANT wireless protocol and allows riders to monitor Di2 gear position, battery life, as well as some other common rider data functions.
Gear position and Di2 battery status seem pretty minimally useful, especially absent better integration (seems like the ANT+ internals could just as easily be added to a front junction box).

The only other thing it shows on the Edge 1000 is when you put your di2 into adjustment mode (hold button on jb until red light comes on). At that point, a special adjustment mode screen comes up on the Edge which shows which step you are on relative to the adjustment range of the RD. and or FD.

You see where you are at the cog and chainring, also battery life but 10% steps

Damn. So either Shimano’s house brand or a laptop. I hope they open it up to other protocols. Not sure if that’s the intention eventually.
