Where can I order a cardboad wheel box from? my LBS doesn’t have and they are really snooty about it. i could always use a cut up frame box but i’d like to get a few legit cardboard wheel boxes for shipping.
someone must make/sell em right?
I bought some from Excel Sports in Boulder…they charged me i think 5 bucks plus whatever the shipping was…they sent the wheel discs as well that go into the axel…Call them or chat with them and see what they will do or you.

Wheelbuilder has a nice one my wheel came in and I have used it twice with FedEx and it worked fine.

Yes I know i just need to buy a wheels (isn’t that always the answer). but the problem is I have too many and have to get rid of some first!
Sounds like you need to find a new LBS… I have never had a problem getting bike boxes or wheel boxes from mine… why not try a different one in your area? You might get a wheel box and they might get a new customer… sounds like a good deal all around.

Been there done that. the store i ride with has none although wheels are always coming in and the other LBS just doesn’t really deal in wheels. Slim pickings as far as LBS go for me. I live out in the sticks and just won’t drive an extra 50 miles to go to another store.

+1, The LBS I go to (and I am not a major spender, bought one bike 4 years ago, but I do buy basic stuff from them and pass by to say hi) has never given me trouble with boxes either bike or wheels. I actually got 2 wheel boxes last week to ship some wheels I sold. I just had to wait until they got their next wheel shipment since they dont have those laying around. Bike boxes they always have tons and they happy for you to take one.
