Five years ago my husband and I brought home a new Yellow Lab puppy. Being a TRI-family, I came up with the name “Sidi” - after my bike shoes.
I’m curious, has anyone else named their beloved pet after anything relating to Swim - Bike - Run? If so, what is it?
Named my chocolate lab after my post-recovery drink. Guinness.
My bitch is named parkito. She posts on here sometimes.
My 11 month German Shorthair Pointer is named Tyr. I wanted a boy and was all set to name it Thor when I was denied. Since Jenn is a fishie we gave it a norsk fishie name.
Both my dogs are named after my first bike. Harley is the older male and Springer is the younger female.

When I lost Shyanne and met my new girl, I let my family name the new pup…Estee (ST) Shyanne Campagnolo. She again will be the Slowtwitch Ambassador at IMLP.
Not sports-related… brother and sister shepherd-chow mix dogs named Miles and Ella (after Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald). Miles was a bit solitary and a loner when we brought him home, so it seemed right that he have a sort of melancholy namesake (he turned in a big, sweet teddybear). Ella was sassy right from the beginning. She will stretch out all over the bed and pose for photos like a diva.

Long time ago I had a cat named Nike. I came back from an evening run one night and a kitten was holed up under my truck crying.
I got two kittens about a month ago.

Freeway - so named because we rescued her from the bushes next to an on-ramp to Interstate 90 here in Issaquah, WA
My buddy and his wife named their boxers after the bikes they rode: Kestrel & Aquila. They’ve since changed bikes (Guru & Kuota) but they kept the dog names.

My pup is named Kelly, she is a 9 year old (going on 6mo) standard schnauzer. No real significance to her name, her litter was a the breaders “K” litter.
