What sunglasses do you ladies use?

The lady & myself went shopping the other day to find her some sport shades, she’s predominantly a runner.

I never realized until helping her shop for glasses that most are really manly-looking.

The only two woman-centric glasses from Oakley (Commit & Enduring) weren’t all that flattering.

Can I ask what you all like & wear, so that I might pass on some ideas…?

Thanks!

I have two different pairs of Rudy Project and a par of Tifosi. Best thing about one of the RP and the Tifosi are the multiple lenses.

My wife has a pair of half jackets and a pair of encounters can be found under Oakley sport.

Oakley Flak Jacket
with the photochromatic Transitions lens which helps a great deal when going between shady and sunny areas on a run or bike route.

They fit a smaller woman’s face pretty well, though they are not women-specific.

I’m not really sure any fully functional sport sunglasses are flattering. Function over form seems to be the mantra.

I also wear the Oakley Flak Jacket and it works great for biking and casual. If running is all she’s doing then the half jacket should do (smaller frame profile). I have a few female friends who wear them.

Scott sunglasses I got on Bonktown.com for 1/2 off.

Had a pair of Oakleys but lost them :frowning: they’ve got to be around the house somewhere. My current default pair is from GAP

Smith’s. Lightweight and comfortable with interchangeable lenses. They have traditional cycling shades and recently started designing shades that are a bit more trendy.

I love my Rudy Project Apache. I have a small face and they fit perfect, I dont even feel them when I am running. Here in AZ I tend to wear sunglsses almost year round and these are holding up really well.

Smith’s all the way. I love their replacement policy and service also.

Smith x3. The slider series was awesome, love the flexibility to change the lens color with the sunlight conditions. I have a pair of District II I got off Sierra Tarding post for like $60. They totally fit a woman’s smaller frame.

I also got sent a pair of these by a Pro friend, the Smith Pivlock, which are da shizzz.

Came with 3 other lenses to interchange. The V90 MAX is a much bigger frame, so if she has a small face, stay with straight V90.

Tifosi! And I’m an optometrist. The reality is: all of the name brands are good. What is important past that is the fit. Kinda like any other piece of triathlon gear.
