What sunglasses are best for aero riding?

What sunglasses allow you to see while you are riding aero? Sometimes my eyes are looking right into the upper rim of the glasses. I believe I can relieve a lot of neck strain if my eyeballs could look up without lifting my neck. Any suggestions?

I believe Lance wore the Oakley Zero S because of this reason, as they are frameless on the top of the glasses.

I came across his booth at the GCT expo. He let me take any model I wanted outside to compare w/ my Oakleys in the sun. You cannot tell the difference, the lenses are that good. The frames are light and durable. I’m never paying more than $30 for sun glasses again.

This model is new just for riding aero.

I also don’t pay more than 25-30 anymore for sunglasses. The house brand from Performance is quite adequate

I used wear bolle, Oakley, Rudy and the like, but since converting to cheaper ones, I haven’t noticed much of a difference plus I don’t wince if I lose or break a pair.

I second the Oakley Zero style (only I prefer the Sub Zero ones). I swear by them. No frames is much easier on my eyes and neck. Only I’m a poor college student so I buy replicas found online and usually its buy 2 get 1 free or something like that so I end up with 3 pair for around $30.

I like Nashbar noframe glasses. However, price is going up. Now they are $13:

I’m with HH. The Nashbar no-frames will be on sale a couple times a year for around $10.00. They weigh nothing, don’t fog and work really well in the aero position. And if you lose them in transition, it’s $10.00.

yeah i dont like paying alot either, but those Gia sunglasses arent rimless, like the Zero S’s that I pointed out.

Yeah those Nashbar ones look like they’d work, especially at that price!

I have these

I think they are great because they are frameless so there are no blind spots while cycling and they cover your site range completely. they were about $200 cdn, I have the golf/gold colour. they never jiggle around so i can wear them for 4 hour rides and they dont budge at all.

also, they dont look super sporty so you could wear them around as regular sunglasses as well.

I like the Adidas Supernova. No frame on top, adjustable temples and nose piece. Very light and comfortable.

Used some Rudy Project sportmask glasses for the first time today - very nice when you’re on a bike where your eyes are the same height as your butt

I’d also suggest the rudy project sportmask:
